Branding + Set Design + Graphics Package

 

Phone swap is a fun young dating shows made for a millennial audience, where two participants come to a first date, but what they don’t know, is they have to exchange phones and look through each other’s phone as the other person watches from separate room. As a lead member of the creative team for the show, I’ve directed the development of the look and feel of the show finding cohesion from the show package to the set design while staying true to the concept of the show. Overall Phone Swap has been a massive success, becoming Snapchat’s best performing show on discover, with 9+ million unique viewers per episode and 930+k subscribers added after season 3.

Graphic Package

On the graphics packaged we focused on mimicking gestures identified with phone UI with a playful typography and bright color palette. Using patterns and unique iconography to capture our young audience attention. 

 

Set Design

From a set point of view, we wanted to create intimate and inviting spaces were daters would feel confortable, while maintaining Phone Swap’s fun and bright aesthetic. We customized episodes based on tentpole like Holidays and Spring Break among others.
